Settlement Report

Overview

The Settlement Report provides a financial view of transactions that have been included in settlement for a given day.
It focuses on the monetary outcome of transactions, including fee breakdowns, settlement amounts, and payout references. The report is designed to support financial reconciliation, accounting, and validation of payouts.
Each row represents a settled transaction, reflecting how the transaction contributes to merchant settlement.

The Settlement Report is part of Aera’s broader reporting framework:

  • Daily Transaction Detail Report: Provides a full operational view of processed transactions
  • Payout Reports: Show how settled funds are grouped and transferred to the merchant

In practice:

  • Use Transaction Report → to understand what happened
  • Use Settlement Report → to understand what is settled
  • Use Payout Reports → to understand what is paid out

Example Flow

Transactions processed → appear in Transaction Report (Transaction ID)
Transactions settled → appear in Settlement Report (Reconciliation ID)
Settlements aggregated → appear in Payout Report (same Reconciliation ID)


Availability

  • Generated on a daily basis
  • Covers transactions included in settlement for the reporting day
  • Made available once settlement processing is completed

Delivery Options

The report can be accessed via:

  • Manual retrieval (via Aera Portal)
  • Automated delivery (via webhook + Reporting API)

Report Structure

Each row in the report represents a single settled transaction.
The field groupings shown below are for documentation purposes only; the actual report is delivered as a flat file without these groupings.

Transaction & Settlement Timing
