Set up your account structure
Prepare your account structure and set it up with Aera's onboarding team.
Aera's onboarding team sets up your account structure with you. It goes faster if you have mapped your business first.
Step 1: Map your business
Talk to your finance team and prepare answers to these questions:
- Companies: which companies own your stores and webshops? These become legal owners.
- Stores and webshops: where do you take payments, and how many terminals does each store need? These become merchants.
- Bank accounts: one payout per company, or one per store? Collect the account numbers.
- Invoices: who should receive which invoice?
- Groups: do you want to see sales or manage settings by brand or region? Then you need chains and sub-chains.
- People: who needs access to the Aera portal, and to which part of the business?
Step 2: Go through it with Aera
Aera's onboarding team reviews your answers with you, suggests a structure and creates it in the Aera portal.
Step 3: Check the structure
- In the Aera portal, go to Organisation.
- Switch to Chart View (top right).
- Check that every store and webshop sits under the right chain, sub-chain and legal owner.
