Prepare your release

Switch your ECR to production after Aera's approval, and give Store IT the release, AIC and settings they need for each store.

Integrate your ECR · task 8 of 8

When Aera has approved your integration, get your ECR release ready for production and hand it over to Store IT.

Switch to production

Local integration

  • Run AIC in Production mode. When you install AIC as a Windows service, select Production, not Development. If you start AIC yourself, don't use --environment=Development. See Install AIC.
  • If you turned keep-alive off while developing, set EcrKeepAlive back to true in appsettings.json.
  • Your ECR keeps connecting to AIC in the store. No address change is needed.

Cloud integration

  • Get production credentials from Aera.
  • Point your ECR backend to https://psp.aerahost.com instead of https://psp-staging.aerahost.com. Allow the hostname, not its IP addresses. See Network requirements.
  • If you allow-list callbacks, use the production IP addresses. See Cloud integration.
  • Store terminals must use the production AIC address ws.psp.aerahost.com, port 443, not the staging address. In the MVP this is entered on the terminal (Network information → AIC address). In the full release (planned), terminal management will set it automatically.

Test terminals stay connected to Aera's test or staging environment.

Hand over to Store IT

Store IT installs your release in each store. Give them:

  • The ECR release with the Aera integration. Each store's ECR must run it.
  • Local integration: the AIC package. Store IT installs AIC on each ECR or on a central server in the store, in Production mode. See Local integration.
  • The settings. Your ECR keeps the AIC address and the terminal discovery address (/poi-list) in its settings, not in code, so installers can change them. AIC settings are in appsettings.json: only change the UserSettings section.
  • IP over USB: tell Store IT that each ECR needs Internet Connection Sharing (ICS) and two network interfaces. See Requirements for the ECR.

Store IT checks each store before the field service visit. See Before the visit.

Your integration is ready. The merchant takes it live store by store, and you help in the first store.
