Set up your Aera account
Set up your account structure, acquiring agreement and users with Aera, while your ECR developer orders a test kit and starts building.
Set up terminals and stores · step 1 of 4
Everything starts with an Aera account, which Aera's onboarding team sets up with you. Your ECR provider builds the integration at the same time: see Integrate your ECR.
Set up your account structure
Your account structure decides where the money goes, who receives invoices and who sees what in the Aera portal. It is the same for in-store and online payments.
- Read Account structure.
- Map your companies, stores and bank accounts, and go through them with Aera. See Set up your account structure.
Apply for acquiring agreements
Each merchant needs an Aera acquiring agreement to accept card payments. Apply early. See Acquiring agreements.
- Cashback and KIB: support for normal cashback or BankAxept cash services in store (KIB) must be included in the Aera merchant agreement. If not, payments with cashback are declined.
- KIB needs one more agreement: KIB is not offered through the Aera acquiring agreement. The merchant must also make a separate merchant agreement directly with the issuer or acquirer. See Cash services.
Agree the build decisions with your ECR provider
Some of your choices change what your ECR provider must build: reconciliation (automatic or on demand), which features you need (such as cashback, gift cards or loyalty) and how terminals connect. Agree them early. See Decisions that change what you build.
Give people access
Create users in the Aera portal for everyone who orders terminals, follows transactions or reads reports. See Create a user and Roles and permissions.
