Gift cards

Activate, load and check the balance of stored value cards (gift cards), if the merchant's setup supports them.

Check the balanceBalanceInquiry
  • Loading an inactive card activates it. Loading an active card adds to its balance.
  • The loaded amount is funded separately.
  • Both responses show the card's balance in CurrentBalance, if it is known.
  • You don't need a CardAcquisition before a balance inquiry. The customer presents the card on the terminal. You can still send one first. See Loyalty and card acquisition.
