The Online payments API describes every field in a generic way. These guides show what matters for each payment method: which fields to send, how the payment flows, and what must be set up first.

Payment method	Typical use	Key fields	Good to know
Cards	Standard ecommerce payments	`amountDetails`, `immediateCapture`, optional `cardSchemeWhitelist`	Authorise and capture. Strong Customer Authentication may apply.
Vipps	Mobile-first shoppers in Norway	Optional `mobileNo` and `paymentDescription`	The shopper approves in the app. Leaves an embedded checkout.
Apple Pay	Shoppers on Apple devices	The Apple Pay token, for direct payments	Card details are replaced by a secure token.
Walley	Invoice and buy now, pay later	Order lines and shopper data	Needs detailed order lines and customer data.

Before a payment method can be used

Your merchant account must have an agreement for it, and Aera must have set it up.
Use paymentMethodInfo.paymentMethodWhitelist to offer only some methods in a session. Leave it out to offer every method enabled for your account.
